LNG Storage Concepts

Dr.techn.Olav Olsen has developed a number of concepts for fixed and floating LNG/LPG storage tanks. Concept development has always been an important part of the activities of the firm, and we have developed a unique ability to identify new and innovative solutions. Due to its excellent temperature properties, concrete has proved the best choice of material for the construction of storage units for LNG.

 

Concrete LNG Terminal

The concept aimed to design a common raft solution where all tanks are placed on one foundation, enabling at-shore construction and assembly, and a minimum of hook-up and offshore work.




Concepts for several water depths were developed, and defined for two types of soil conditions typical for the area.
