Dr.techn.Olav Olsen have been active designers of offshore structures since the early 70's. The company performs a variety of services from conceptual studies to detailed design. Around 700 concepts have been undertaken by the company, and Dr.techn.Olav Olsen have performed the detailed design of more than 20 offshore oil and gas installations that are now in operation.

Concrete structures
Offshore concrete structures such as the Condeep platforms have been the company's trademark since the seventies. The company recently completed design of the 2 Sakhalin II platforms for Aker Kværner, in collaboration with other engineering companies.

Steel structures

As well as being a specialist advisor on offshore concrete structures, the company holds extensive experience in the design of offshore steel structures.
