Through our membership of fib (fédération internationale du béton) we have taken an active part in research projects into the production, use and reclamation of concrete as a building material. Our latest involvement is in the development of "Guidelines for the environmental design of concrete", where we will be taking a broad approach in order to develop a set of guidelines suitable for international use.

Integrated Decontamination and Rehabilitation of Buildings, Structures and Materials in Urban Renewal (IRMA)
The aim of the IRMA research project is to develop and implement a general city-concept. This includes a toolbox consisting of improved technology and processes for recycling, coupled with decision making processes and a management tool.
Dr.techn.Olav Olsen a.s is sole Norwegian member of this European Community funded research project.
